Thanks! Yes, I know what you mean about some chapters being really time consuming - and some are just a simple thought that takes just a minute to read and remember. I'm trying to defeat the part of me that wants to be perfect and one way to do that is to realize that, like you say, some steps might take several days, and on other days I might read two chapters and get something from each of them. Overall, my goal is to keep these thoughts in my mind and to make reading a bit of the book a part of my daily life, not to strictly enforce one chapter per day.

That is a great goal. I have found some chapters pretty time consuming. Often it can take 2-3 days to take all the steps, create the checklists and do all the items you are supposed to complete before you move on. If that happens to you, don't be discouraged by that. Beck's is all about checking in with you thinking, your habits and what you have ingrained in your brain. It can be time consuming to reflect deeply and figure some out some of these behaviors.

Do Not Be Afraid or Discouraged.

I wanted to come here to mention that I've started a 12 week challenge beginning tomorrow, 10/9. It's not specifically related to Beck, but one of my goals is to read one chapter (day) of the book each night, and I'm sure I'll be reflecting on those topics in my posts.
