I've more or less burned mine into my memory. I read my list of reasons and response cards everyday since I picked up the book, and at several times throughout.
They are helping me immensely when I crave sugar. I think I may be showing signs of hypoglycemia and it's tough when I feel low and crave something sugary.
I've gotten into the habit of telling myself, "Look, it may seem like a cookie is a quick fix for this, but you may end up doing more harm than good. Plus, you'll be sorry either way after you eat it. Just hold out of a few minutes and find something better to eat."
And that's just what I've been doing. I've scheduled an appointment with my doctor to see if we can figure out what's going on with my blood sugar, but in the meantime I'm steering clear or at least limiting my sugar intake.
Still, it's really hard to resist cookies or sweets when you feel so exhausted and you know your blood sugar's low, but I'd have to say that these active response cards work pretty darn well. I've already lost weight too. ^_^
