One thing I can tell you is that hotel prices in Vegas are very cheap in August (which you probably know since you live nearby), so it gets down to the price of the sessions, which I have no idea what they go for. I do plan to investigate and will post what I find out here on the forum.

I live in Phoenix, and I tried so badly to get my husband to go, but he said they are really expensive. Maybe another year. He said he would take me to one if it came here to Phoenix. I guess we will just see.

Also when my husband was younger (like eight?) he went to a convention here and bought a cute Star Fleet outfit which he wore to the convention. We still have it and I can't wait for our baby boy who is only 8 months old to be big enough to wear it(Oh yeah he is going to wear it whether he likes it or not!).

I haven't gone to cons since Slanted Fedora in Kansas City folded. Can't really afford it anymore. Once we're financially stable, I'd love to go as a Klingon again. :)

I haven't, it's wicked expensive. I'm sticking to the smaller, fan-run cons. Speaking of which, I went to Un-Con-Ventional last weekend in Dayton, had a blast, too. It was awesome. If you go to Vegas, let me know how it is!!!! They have so much there, I've heard.

Did anyone go to the ST Convention in Vegas? I've read the blogs and it sounds like a great time. I've started talking to my wife about going next year. She is NOT a ST fan, so her requirement is that she has plenty of $$$ to gamble while I go the various events.
