I reordered the Spark Solution in March and got the book in May. It was then I started the Spark Coach Free Trial; subsequently I signed up for a year. I am not crazy about the planned meals nor the recipes. But here's the thing I was so impressed with the SparkPeople book, I got the Spark People cookbook. Even though I don't follow the meal plan and don't use the recipes very much I got sparked from the first book. I joined SparkPeople online (I lost 50 lbs without having to make much of an effort); I joined some of the challenges and that did it for me as I am very competitive. Now Spark Coach is a real "kick" for me. I don't need to lose any more weight, I eat healthy--mostly raw vegetables, fruit and dairy and sometimes meat--and I am motivated. But checking in every day is fun for me. I like the short messages and what I feel is my personal cheering team.

I just got a copy of The Spark Solution in anticipation for a new challenge they are going to have starting next week. I'm going to give it a try and see if it will "spark" me back into action! I'm a little bummed that the 2 weeks will include the 4th of July holiday, but I'll just have to do the best I can while out of town. Otherwise, I'm excited to try some new recipes and lose a few pounds! I'll be sure to let you all know what I think of the book once I get done with it.

I loved The Spark. I bought the Spark Solution, but I am not enjoying it quite as much. It is much more of a prescribed program; and I like the flexibility of choosing my 5 healthy habits, and the inspiration of Chris Downey's original Spark message. I haven't finished Spark Solution yet -- I read all the way through Week 1 and my Kindle froze repeatedly; I won't be able to finish reading Solution until my new Kindle gets here. Kindle tech support was great, but the final verdict was that my Kindle was fatally flawed, out of warranty, and my best option was a discount on a new Paperwhite Kindle.

I do think all the perks that Spark offered with the new book made it a GREAT deal (coach Nicole exercise DVDs, bonus points, free Spark Coach which I haven't used yet)

I bought the Spark Solution not because of what it promises but because I was inspired by reading Spark People which I got from the library and then subsequently bought a Kindle Version I am now locked into SparkPeople so that it is a rare day that I don't log in. I got my copy of Spark Solution yesterday and have started reading it. So far I am impressed. I most likely won't attend to all of the program but I do think I will take something from the "Solution" and incorporate it into the routine I have set up for myself.

How many have bought this or planning to buy this? I thought since we are a book club, we might want to post comments about the book here.

I have the original spark book, but haven't read it yet. I'm not sure whether or not I will get this new one. I may wait and see if my library gets it. From members' comments so far, it seems to be an excellent book.
