You can do it!! You're off to a good start. Choose menus and exercises that you enjoy. Have fun reading up on it and get excited about feeling better. It means putting yourself first. I'm 52 with 4 kids, and take care of my husband's family too. But with the right kind of planning it can be done. I rely alot on veggie soups, with lots of beans, and also nuts and seeds when I am busy. Healthy fats, olive oil, coconut. But only if that works for YOU. Whatever you do you have to learn to love it and live it. Then your health will come back to you. It takes alot of will power at first, setting new habits and resetting your body.

Hi
I'm 46 years young, a mother of two young boys and a college student. 4 years ago I started college and neglected my health. I relied on fast foods for a great part of those 4 years. I gained 40 pounds in four years and now I'm having a difficult time losing the weight plus I have high blood pressure. I made it my mission to jump start my metabolism during summer vacation. I have all the exercise equipment I need at home and have the determination at this time but it's hard cooking two menus.. I was browsing online, looking for kale recipes and found an announcement for SparkPeople. I love all it has to offer, so let's see how it works out for me.
