Some of us spray the popcorn with vinegar as it comes out of the air popper, so that salt, nooch, or whatever sticks to it without using oil.

Some people think the “plant-based whole foods diet” is extreme. Half a million a year will have their chests opened up and a vein taken from their leg and sewn onto their coronary artery. Some people would call that extreme.

Here is another way to use nooch. I would have to find another way to make it stick to the popcorn since I don't use oil (especially coconut oil) but for those of you who are looking for that Dorito's taste without the yucky chemicals and artificial colorings here is a treat!

Thanks for clarifying the site it is theppk.com. Another fav recipe on that site is the beet burgers. Soooo good. ( I use blended oats instead of ww flour in them because I have found that oats makes any veggier burger firm up better imho)

just a little clarification.... I tried to go to the PPK.com site and found this wasn't
what you were referring to, so I googled vegan Italian sausage and found the site
is thePPK.com. Thank you very much for leading me to this site!
you're wonderful!

I like "nooch" in several recipes. Happy Herbivore's breakfast scrambled tofu is really good! I add a bunch of veggies to it and it is one of our favorite meals served with baked home "fried" potatoes and my other fav recipe to use nutritional yeast. PPK.com's Italian sausages. (Vegan of course) I actually cut up the sausage and cook them up in the scramble with the veggies. (Onions, mushrooms, red & green peppers, chunks of cherry tomatoes)

thank you.

I understand the protein count is pretty high - about 8 grams in 1-1/2 tbsp.
Also - it's high in b vitamins and some important minerals.

I like the stuff but I am careful not to use too much. It can have a bit if an after taste. But it lends itself to experimentation. For me it can boost flavor, especially in pasta type dishes, with the bonus of being healthy. I haven't used to as a supplement or anything like.

I have to admit I really don't like it, but I will try the dressing recipe. I may change my mind.

Made an outstanding pesto w/it. I do, personally, think you can use too much, but experiment. Is it supposed to improve your health?

Loaded with B-12. It's good sprinkled over popcorn. Gives a cheese like flavor.

I don't know if it is supposed to improve health, but with eyes closed and an open mind it sure amps up a vegan chez sauce. Ohsheglows has a vegan blog. There is a recipe for a thick garlicky dressing that uses tonnes of nutritional yeast. It is yummers. http://ohsheglows.com/2011/05/12/lightened

Word of warning. Make sure you buy nutritional yeast (fish food flake appearance) and not baking yeast, or I'm pretty sure your taste buds would vomit. Good luck !

HI!

Can anybody please tell me if you've tried nutritional yeast?
What do you use it for? Have you noticed a difference in
your health after using it?

Thank you! emoticon
