on quitting smoking. I quit 4 years ago. I finally got tired of the 40 extra pounds I gained in the process and joined SP in Aug 2011. The encouragement and support from fellow members has been a great help to me. And like you I look on this as a healthy lifestyle not a diet.

to the team! There are lots of good healthy vegan and vegetarian recipes here on Spark to help you on your way and use the Trackers. They can take a bit of time to master, but are worth the effort. The Food Tracker gets me back on track. Mindful eating is the way to go; it's amazing the calories you can pack on if you don't keep track.

I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand children proud when they look at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.
Last year I gave up smoking and added a lot more weight to my already chubby body. I now have 70 pounds to lose. I do not look at this as a diet but a new life journey. I am interested in vegetarian/vegan eating and a more mindful and simpler life as I am entering the last third of my life. I look forward to learning and living well!!!!
