I have known several "fat" vegetarians as you put it. They eat more things like lentil roasts and pasta than veggies. When I first transitioned I over did on processed fake meat and pasta dishes. Now I eat mostly raw veggies and make my own vegan sauces, vegan sausage (that I eat sparingly) and pasta for my cooked meals. I recently cut out most oil, I'm still working on that, thanks to a reply to a post by one of our members.
We are on a journey to healthy eating and living. There are days that are harder than others for me, but I keep going. When I slip I pick myself up and start again. We only fail when we fail to try again.
