Type 1 diabetes cannot be cured because the pancreas has been irreparably damaged. However, with juicing and raw foods you can cut back significantly on the amount of insulin your child will need in his lifetime.

Wow - welcome! Your kids are blessed to have an awesome Mom like you - there are so many teams on this site, hopefully you can find a team to help you along the way. Pat
I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand children proud when they look at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.

I am a mom to 4 awesome kids ranging from 15 to 7. One of my kids was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, which we have managed to control for 3 months with diet, exercise and chiropractic care. Prior to his diagnosis in Sept. 2012 he also had been diagnosed with OCD, speech apraxia, dyspraxia, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, adhd, and ppd-nos. We have been vegetarians for several years, but since his diagnosis has gone vegan, gluten free, and lowcarb which means TONS of fruits and veggies. I am a personal trainer, group exercise instructor and love to read anything I can my hands on that has to do with health, fitness, disease and diet. I would love to connect with other type 1 moms who believe that this disease can be cured. I believe in the beautiful healing ability of the human and believe nothing is impossible. I am excited to see what comes of joining this website...lets go!
