The worst thing you can do is to stop eating. Your body thinks you are starving (which you ARE) and conserves you weight and will not let you lose it! You must eat. You must eat to live. You just must eat the right things. Veggies, fruits, whole grains and beans are the right things. Joel Fuhrman's book Eat To Live is a great book. So is Dr. McDougall's The Starch Solution or Dr. Esselstyns Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease. There are many others . What they all have in common are they are HEALTHY plant based lifestyles. They allow you to eat healthy whole foods that taste delicious and that allow you to eat enough food to make you comfortably full. You do NOT starve yourself. You lose weight. You exercise and you become healthy and enjoy life again. But you must choose one. Read it and follow the plan. You must cook your own food. You must NOT eat fried junk stuff that everyone else calls food anymore. It will make you fat and unhealthy. God Bless you on your journey to healthy life. BTW eating like this is NOT expensive, NOT difficult and NOT crazy. It is CRAZY FUN!
Hi welcome, what ever you do you must eat, going so long with out nutrients is counterproductive and unhealthy, I second the vegan diet. try to carry things to work or school you can munch on through out the day. If you can keep your blood sugar up with wholesome foods through out the day you may start to lose. That is what my wifes doctor is telling her and her eating schedule Is much the same as yours
Also, since we are alike in some ways and unique in others, I think we each have to find the diet that works best for us. Try vegan, preferably raw vegan, for three to six weeks. I found that doing the raw vegan at work is easier than trying to find decent cooked vegan near my office, ad I work in San Francisco.
Also, be patient. Changing one's lifestyle can take a long time.
well I have begun to wonder if "normal people" are eating right. Lot of people eat way tooo many processed foods, too much meat and dairy and not enough fruits and veggies and then wonder why they are not losing weight, feel awful and have healthy problems.
So you have to eat lots of fruits and veggie. I suggest reading eat to live by Joel Furhrman( there are several vegan diets that are good also I just can't remember right now)
I think you will find that when you eat lots of fruits and veggies (eat them until your satisfied) you will start to feel better and the weight will start to come off.
