I know how your kids feel. I started out not liking beans and now I'm tolerating beans. What I did was mush them up in soup or stir fries and then I couldn't taste them and I didn't have to bit into a bean, they were just mixed in with every thing else.

Hi everyone,
I have been a semi vegetarian for about 9 months now, hoping to go all the way by the end of the year. I am having some trouble giving up shrimp. I am hoping to lose some weight I have gained since returning to carb eating after a very successful run with a low carb(Curves) diet. It worked wonderfully, but it also made me incredibly irritable and after going off of it, the weight has slowly crept back.
I decided to try vegetarianism after watching Forks Over Knives and Food Matters. My husband and I are also trying to establish a healthy, organic lifestlye for our children. They do surprisingly well, but we have found that they have an extreme hatred for beans!
I am really hoping that I can do this.
