Why do you use a protein powder? If you are eating enough to be comfortably full you are getting plenty of protein from your food. When you work out and eat more food you get more protein, covering yourself and your needs. Excess animal protein is excreted through your kidneys and cause a load on them that is unhealthy, especially if it is an animal based protein. People in America are unnecessarily protein focused. Protein deficiency is really unknown in developed countries.

If I haven't introduced myself, I am Darci. I am 39 years old and have been a vegitarian/vegan for 5 years. I don't eat eggs or drink milk but do use the whey protien powders for after workout drinks. I am looking for friends to help keep me motivated! Thanks to all who have put up yummie vegan recipes. It's so hard to find them.
