Welcome!! When I joined SP last year I learned that if I think of it as a healthy life style and not a diet it is soooo much easier to succeed. I went from Omnivore in Aug 2011 to Vegetarian by Dec 31st and Vegan by June 12. In the process I lost over 30 pounds and feel much better about myself.
Be sure to use the nutrition and fitness trackers. If you cook something that is not in the recipe database, use the Recipe Calculator. You can save your recipes on the database too.

Hi all. I'm new to this. I saw an article on Yahoo and I saw the words "lose weight" and "free", so i thought i would try it. I have been on the yo-yo diets. Now, i don't do many, only a handful but my latest one, was organic liasion. I can say I probably lost 10lbs but it did get kind of expenisive and i couldn't continue, so I found myself gaining those 10lbs and then some. Also the program was a bit complicated, the support was totally different than what i see it is here. So hopefully I can follow through this time, it's for my own health and being there for my little girl. Fingers crossed!! :)
