50 is the new 30.
Health and fitness has always been on my goal list, but finding the time (and courage) to find someone to keep me accountable has been a fear of mine. Fear or failure, maybe? The last 2 years have been emotionally hard, but I'm ready to get back in the game instead of sitting on the sidelines.
A lot of factors involved: High Cholesterol, high triglycerides, been overweight for a while, have not utilized my 24 Hr. membership to it's fullest potential (though I enjoy it once I get there), mid 40's, lifestyle change (dramatically) last 2 years, comfort and emotional eater, and associate food with socializing.
Last time I lost a ton of weight was with a team of accountability partners on the Lean for Life program and on Weight Watchers. (though, not able to afford it these days).
I just want to be healthy in the second part of my life...and live a longer life. I'm hoping to find it here.
I look forward to finding a team or a few individuals with whom I can stay accountable to. I'm enjoying this website, though it's a lot of information! Slowly, daily, I'm learning more and more, and look forward to learning more each day.
