I'd thought I'd introduce myself to the team!
My husband and I were blessed with a little baby boy in June of this year. Although I believed I was eating just the right amount and exercising throughout my pregnancy I was astonished by the weight I gained (40lbs) and was very disappointed when it didn't immediately 'fall' off. I was exercising as soon as I was allowed, but my weight was not really budging. I had a c-section- 6 weeks of doing nothing but walking was really hard for me! I partially breastfed until my son was 4 mons old, but never had enough to sustain him.
Frustrated, I started faithfully using Spark at the end of October and realized I was eating too many calories for what my body was burning. I was eating 98% healthy food - but my portions were too big. Since then I have lost 1-2lbs per week and I am feeling a lot more optimistic and confident about what I need to do.
Looking forward to meeting group members - it looks like there are a lot of positive and encouraging people in the group. Would love to find a buddy who is in a similar position (i.e. similar amount of weight to lose, exercise goals etc). I use exercise videos, attend pilates class and walk a lot.
