First off, rest assured that everything that you are feeling and going through is TOTALLY normal. If you're feeling it or going through it, it's safe to say that someone on this team has felt it or gone through it too! That being said...PLEASE don't be too hard on yourself! It is SO hard to lose weight after having a baby. Your life has changed in so many different ways that you really have to start from the beginning when it comes to losing weight and getting back in shape. There will be times when it will feel like it's absolutely impossible to fit in exercise (or even eating!) but hang in there and don't give up! Keep telling yourself that you will succeed and that you will find a way to make it happen!
Jeni has given you some great ideas to get started. I hope you will also join us on our daily chat so we can get to know you and offer our support in any way that you can.
In the meantime, get some sleep whenever you can, let your body heal, stock your fridge and pantry with healthy foods and fit in a little exercise whenever and wherever you can! If there comes a time when you get frustrated and feel like throwing in the towel (and there will be times when you feel like that), just take a look at that sweet little baby boy of yours and know that what got you where you are today was TOTALLY worth it and is also the reason that you will keep pushing to reach your health and fitness goals!

My son is 20 months old. I too had gestational diabetes, which never went away and became just plain type 2 diabetes after he was born. My doctor believes though that I will be able to put the diabetes in remission after I lose weight. I have lost almost 30 pounds so far.
May I suggest Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home dvd's? I started back to working out with these 3 times a week, working my way up to 5 times, and found them easy to work in while my son was napping, and Leslie was very motivating. I also stroller walked as much as possible, so I didn't have to feel guilty about leaving my son somewhere while I worked out. Perhaps you could mall walk when it's raining outside?

Hello my name is Tracy and I am new to this. I just had a baby and he is my life but makes it very hard to try and get exercise especially living in Washington where it rains a lot. I don't mind the weight i was before I got pregnant but I want to be even lower than that when I am done. I want to stop Yoyo dieting and make this a lifestyle change. This pregnancy has wrecked havoc on my body. I was dignosed with Pre Clamsia and Gestational diabetes around week 28 and then after having him I broke my left ankle and dislocacted my right knee. I feel so extremely old even though I am only 32 so I got permission from my doctor to start slow again and start swimming and walking so that is what I am aiming to do. It would be great if I could get a buddy and I would love to get to know you ladies better. Thanks!
