all it takes to lose weight is: cutting your calories by 3600 per week to lose 1 pound and drinking 8-12, 8oz glasses of water per day. Water is a main key because the more you drink the less your body holds onto. Sounds silly but it's true. When you drink less than 8 per day your body holds onto the water because it doesnt know when it will get water again, thus water weight. And for every glass of caffinated drink you have, you need an extra glass of water to counter it. So I only drink water now.

Exercise just keeps you healthy and allows you to eat a little more

My husband and I moved two years ago so unfortunately no family close by. We have friends that I'm sure would watch her if we ask but I kind of hate to ask because everyone else works and have kids as well. My husband could watch her (and already said he would) but I've only been back at work for three weeks so for now I want to spend all my time with her. I think as she gets older it will be easier. I've just been frustrated this week with a closet full of clothes that don't fit me. I think your right too, start w/ tracking food and work my way up. I'm not looking for quick fix, I'm looking for a new lifestyle. I just feel like I'm stuck right now. Just one of those days. I'm looking forward to adding spark people to my day emoticon

welcome! Time is hard to come by with a new baby. Best thing is just do what you can now and add to it as things become more normal.

What I mean by that is, you cant control your time to work out right now but you can still track your food! In a few months your baby will have an earlier bed time. Once we got our baby to finally go to sleep at 7pm every night it was so wonderful to have some "ME" time again LOL. Now that she is 19mos her bed time is 8pm but from 8pm to 8am she is sleeping.

Do you have any friends or family members that are willing to watch your baby for an hour while you go work out?

I can't believe I am down over 70 pounds since last year!

Hi, My name is Jennifer and I just joined the team today. I have been on/off spark people since August but today I decided it's on!! I just had my first baby girl in July and the experience has been so wonderful. She truly is a blessing. I have 50lbs to lose, 20 baby,30 that I should have lost before baby. LOL My only problem like most is time. I work full time so during the week it's hard for me to get to the gym. I would like to join a gym closer to work but that is not an option until next year($$). I actually belong to a 24 hour gym so there should be no excuse but I already wake up at 5:30 am and little one normally goes to sleep around 9pm or 10pm. Any suggestions on how to motivate myself to either wake up early or stay up later would be appreciated. I'm just so tired.
