Also new to this group! I have been a nurse for about 20 years, worked in mental health until 2 years ago after I finished grad school. I am now a risk manager, but still do psych on the weekends. My main goal is to lose 50lbs, already lost about 14lbs, will reevaluate after losing 30lbs.

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results. When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world Breathe in love & compassion.. Breathe out peace & forgiveness. Pacific time

I just thought that maybe you all could help me. I am a male nurse with a severe weight problem, depression and anxiety. I have never been able to keep a job for more than about a year. I work in Long Term Care. Its just that I burn out easily. I am on medication . I would love to be able to lose weight. Are there any out there that have experienced the same problems. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. Keith
