“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

How would a person get one of those nifty time lines? Also, one more question, please. I am just starting out. DO I have to start over because I had three bad days? You all do wonderful Encouragement, but I am just geeting the hang of all of this. I haven't been actively working for a while--I hears it's all computers now.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Yours,
Margie

Hi! I'm Jenny and I'm an RN in southern MN. I work at a critical access hospital so basically that means I'm a jack of all trades. I work Med/Surg, ED, Surgery Center and hopefully surgery.

I'm here for a lifestyle change. I want to have more energy so I'm not so tired after 12 hour shift. I had some blood work done a couple weeks ago and if I don't make a change soon I'll be diabetic. And I don't want that so here I am. I've lost 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks and I'm feeling good. But I must tell ya I've been off work for 2 weeks so we'll see how things go when I go back this week.

Hello, I'm Aylamay, and I am glad to be here!

After years of dealing with a painful congenital disorder, Bipolar disorder, and a myriad of othe medical crud, I had let myself go. I hadn't realized the full extent of it until Wednesday, when I went to my doc's office and the scale diagnosed me at 192 pounds and I am 5'3". The good news: Labs look good. Tsh high, (which probably explains the couch-potato-weight-gain at least in part. Facts as they are: I let myself go. I have the book "The Spark" and have browsing through it for a couple months. The Spark that got me here was the doctor's scale.

I look forward to doing some good hard work, and part of me signed up here for one reason; If I do this with online support, it will be so much easier because I can share with you all, and maybe I can help someone else too along the way.

Thanks
Aylamay.

-Carpe Diem
