Cardioman, I know how hard it is to have a strong willpower! It's always a challenge if those "bad" things are available to you all the time! One of the things I have done is I keep Hershey's extra dark chocolate squares in the house, and I eat one when I get the urge for something. I also make sure that we always have plenty of fresh fruit and veggies in the house for snacks. I have been lucky in that my husband joined Spark with me, and we have pretty much gotten the whole family into the healthy lifestyle. which limits the amount of junk food we keep in the house.
Cardioman, I know the smells will kill you. I started a low sodium diet and am very senitive to salt and can gain 3 lbs and not even think about it. Take me a week to lose the weight. I have had to lay off the good stuff to cont. to lose. I struggled for 2 yrs to lose weight and watched my diet carefully and I am diabetic and could not lose but a lbs. Now, I am able to exercise a little with O2 and am losing it can get pretty discourageing when you don't see the scales respond. Eat something before going to the game and it might help. I just read littlemann's edit and hope he does well. Just a little about myself I am 43 and have been waiting for 7 years for a heart I have been doing really well on the meds until resently. My Dr. in S.F. up graded me from statis 7 to statis 2 so basic I can get called any time but I have to loose 20 lbs.
