Welcome. You might want to check out YouTube for exercise videos. They have all kinds so you never have to be bored. I do Leslie Sansone and Jessica Smith. Sweating to the Oldies with Richard Simmons is fun. There are dance and kick boxing if you can get your feet to move that way. Walking outside is good for you both physically and mentally. Don't forget to do some strength training. You don't need a lot of equipment, just a pair of dumbbells or a resistance band.

welcome. Can be intimidating at first - heck after awhile too, lol. Make sure you check out the articles and videos in the top menu bar - lots of help there. Check out the various forums as well - you can belong to as many as you like. Remember to set goals - small achievable goals and once meet them, make another small achievable one until you reach your overall goal of 30 lbs. Try to find some exercise you like that you can see yourself doing regularly. If you don't like it or if it's at a gym and scheduled you won't last if the timing doesn't suit your timetable. Try things and if they don't work, don't fret - move on and try something else.

Welcome Pekaana, I did not like to exercise either. After I thought about a little inspiration for myself, I decided to make this my job now that I am retired. I thought a 2 hour a day job wasn't too bad considering I used to work 8 to 9 hours a day before. With my anxiety and depression affecting my 8 hour a day job i can do this. That is how I cope with my "laziness".
Hi and welcome! This is s great place and the approach to diet seems very good. One thing to keep in mind is that this isn't a diet that starts and stops - you will want to change the way you eat in a way that you can live with forever. Especially is you have heart issues, as I do.
When I started back in Oct 2011 I didn't do much in the way of exercise; rather focused on eating healthy foods, tracking what I ate, and staying at my calorie goal. From what I read losing weight is 80% diet and 20% exercise. No doubt moving every day is good for you!
Very supportive community with lots of good advice on the site.
