Yes you can do it, keep a positive attitude and stay with spark people and you will get to your goal. I think going class is a great idea. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. emoticon emoticon

Thank You I believe with all the support here I can do this, Like you I'm limited in exercise, there is a yoga class starting at my local Y in Feb. that I want to join. In the mean I'm going to do as much walking as possible emoticon

Welcome. A lot of people jump into diet and exercise changes with both feet and get overwhelmed. If you read some of the articles here you'll find they suggest making small changes and getting use to those before making more changes. I think you'll find that works better than going for one huge makeover of your lifestyle. Good luck.

Welcome. I have had a heart attack in the past and continue to have problems. I joined spark people, and it has really helped me get on a healthy eating plan. I'm limited in choices of exercise , but I am walking and using the resistance bands. Slow and easy is the best way to start. Make small changes and add more as you master each change. Spark people has great articles on nutrition and exercise. I also recommend you track your food daily. That's what really helped me stay on track. I have lost 58 lbs. I'm struggling to lose more, but I'm not giving up Good luck if I can do it you can also. emoticon

Hello, I've just started I'm starting a new heart healthy lifestyle I had a heart attack in 2012. I'm 48 I live in Jacksonville Florida. I've been having trouble changing my eating habit so I decide to give SparkPeople a try to help me along the way emoticon
