Hello and welcome.
All things are possible if you only believe, even losing 15 pounds
Welcome back. Losing weight with a thyroid problem can be difficult, but you seem to have a handle on it. Glad you've got someone to help keep you on the straight and narrow! ;-D
Achieve success in any area of life by identifying the optimum strategies and repeating them until they become habit - Charles Givens
Hi, I've been here years ago and generally I do Weight Watchers at home but love this site for motivation. I don't call losing weight a diet. I try to use the winter months for winter maintenance or as I call it "my tune-up". The last couple of years I just could not get my head in the right place for many personal reasons. This year is different. My thyroid is misbehaving and is being addressed, with my weight up my lab work is elevated in the wrong areas. I know my weight can make a major difference with all of this, except the thyroid. Getting myself back down to a healthy level will most certainly help me have more energy, mentally give me a focus during the winter months which lifts my spirits simply by taking control again of things I can manage.
I love the articles, recipes and reading other posts. Knowledge empowers you to make better choices that are right for you. I share my tune-up with my dear friend who does the same for herself. Her choices and needs are different from mine but the motivation and pulling each other along makes the tune-up a lot of fun. If we have a day when we fall on our face we just dust ourselves off and get back at it.
We are only human but taking each other's hand in our efforts certainly helps.
I'm glad to be back,
