Welcome. Glad you decided to join us on this journey to lose and get healthy. Only share what you feel comfortable sharing. Many people just use the tools and don't bother with the message boards, but there are challenges and cooking boards and others that don't require you to share anything but tips on how to cook good food with less calories or how you have managed to avoid sweets. Have fun with all the things this site offers.

Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns. I am thankful thorns have roses. -- Alphonse Karr

Thank for sharing, even if it did make you uncomfortable. What you had to say was inspiring to me. Sharing our stories, our successes and failures, etc. is I think God's work. Who knows when the most seemingly innocent comment may help another along their path. You may light that single candle in the darkness.
I believe that God gives all of us challenges so that we may pull closer to him in our struggle and our need for guidance. Mine is an addiction to food. I heard said that whatever we turn to in our time of need is our 'god'. I guess I've been substituting food for a real relationship with God. AA tells us that when we are feeding our addiction, whatever that may be, we are not available for any other relationship. I, personally am making myself available.

It is inspiring to hear from someone of your generation who wants to truly be alive until they no longer are. Bless you.
