Welcome! Sounds like you're off to a good start. It's a little harder working out with arthritis, but it can be done without pain. I've found yoga to be very good for back pain as long as you go slow. Glad you decided to join us.

I have just restarted my Spark journey after having toyed with Slimming World since February. Since February I have lost 24 pounds but still have 64 pounds left to lose.
My name is Carol and I live in Warrington, Cheshire, UK with my partner Paul and our dog Sandy. I am 58 years old and work in a call centre dealing with Mobile Phone insurance for a major bank. I had an accident just over 18 months ago at work and damaged my back and neck. At the moment my back seems ok although my neck still gives me problems at the end of the day. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago with osteo athritis in my knee and also suffer from high blood pressure and a hiatus hernia.
As well as sticking to the diet I have also joined the gym with the blessing of my physiotherapist to strengthen my core muscles to help my back problems especially as I am sitting all day at work. I have had a session with a personal trainer to give me a programme to burn fat as well as general conditioning to tone up as I lose weight.
Hopefully by going on this site every day I will reach my goals this time.
