I have been able to not only lose weight but significantly change my body composition from high-fat, low-muscle to 21% body fat (and still dropping) with several pounds of muscle gained by eating a paleo-style low-carb diet in spite of low-thyroid. In fact my thyroid levels are much improved after making this change in eating style.
Hi my name is Carol and for years I have tried to get my weight under control. Healthy eating is not an issue but because I have under-active Thyroid in addition to high blood pressure and slightly over 40.
