Reading your post I see you started off great by eliminating the sugar(thats one of the first ingredients I added to my mix too) Its amazing what a difference it makes,right?? I felt like a whole other person and dropped lbs almost instantly. (I'm a person who @ one time needed 3 tsps of sugar in her morning cup of java or afternoon tea) A real Sweetaholic!! hi ginny, I too have to lose 95 pounds and there is nothing more then wanting to be healthy on my mine these days. I brought up 4 boys and they have familys of their own and now its time for me. I have had plenty of stress in my life and this is part of the reason I have gained so much weight. I became an over eater. since jan 1, the day I retired from a very stressful job I decided to work on me. I started by leaving sugar out of my diet as much as I have control over. I read labels now and am aware of what things have and dont have it takes some time but I know soon I will know what I can buy and what I shouldn't buy. I also read a lot of the things on here and take quizzes. the bad thing is I have tried losing weight most of my life, since my first child was born in 1970. I know a great deal about what I should be doing and what not to do but I have always fallen back to old habits. not this time I am determined to do this. lets do this together. god luck on your venture and congratulations on taking over as coach.

Ginny for stepping up to the plate. I appreciate you for keeping this team going. I've never been more serious about getting healthy as I am now. I've been an up and down dieter and and lost nd gained enough weight dfor a whole nother person. Even now I need to lose 90 lbs but this time...this time I'm doing it right. I'm reading and studying, researching and looking back at the end of the day to see my mistakes and get ideas as to what I could do better tomorrow. I have a BMI of 48 and I want to be healthy. I don't want to die and I don't want to just lose weight. I WANT TO BE HEALTHY!! That's why I love this group!! God bless it!

Hi...I too was a SP member for a long time. I deactivated my account awhile back as life just seemed to get in the way. I realized that I missed the comraderie of my SP friends, so have rejoined. I need to lose 40 pounds to get where I am supposed to be and I know that I can do it with the help of friends. I used to belong to this team and missed it too, so I am back and ready to do the things that I need to keep this old heart strong and healthy!
Hi, My name is Melody and I have been a 'Sparker' for some time now but for a good while I have not done anything with it. When I first started I had lost 50 lbs., I have since put about 15 or so back on and I don't like the direction I'm headed. It's been 17 months since I had 3 stents placed via a cardiac catheterization and I started out real good with exercising and eating but have lapsed back into my bad, old habits. I got a job last November and have used that as my excuse for not exercising because I have to stand all day or night depending what hours I work and when I get home I'm tired. Getting my water quota in can be difficult but doable. Eating right? Well, that's just plain my fault, ugh! Didn't mean to go off like that but guess I needed to vent, now I need to get up off my duff and do something about it. That is why I chose to join this team, I need lots of encouragement and pushers. Hope to find it here. Thanks, Melody

Just a day at a time. If you go anywhere or run an errand, always take a snack with you -- like an apple, banana, or a bag of cheerios. Also - every Stop N Go type place sells an individual banana. Best of luck!!
