I too have trouble walking for more than a minute or two. I belong to the Chair Exercise group. There is a lot of info for chair exercises, they have lots of links to different chair routines. Keeps ya from getting bored.

Just joined and want to get healthy. I'm a few months away from 57, my weight is in the mid-200s, my blood pressure is extremely high (on medication), cholesterol is in the high 200s (on medication), my doctor said that I was pre-diabetic, and my knees and legs are so bad that I can barely walk and when I do I need a cane. Even though I really need to lose weight, above that I need to get healthy and get energy... which I am thinking that eating healthy will go hand in hand. I am hoping if I don't focus on a "diet" then I won't become obsessed with food and blow the diet, like I have in the past. Since my legs are so bad, exercise is going to be a challenge so I purchased two dvds for senior citizens to exercise from a chair. At least it will be a start and more than I'm doing now. I am excited to be here, and to have found such great support groups.
