Welcome to your journey! As far as videos go, I'm a big fan of the Beachbody videos. They are a bit on the expensive side but are well done and great workouts. I've done Les Mills Body Pump and just ordered Les Mills Body Combat. They have workouts for all levels so you don't need to be super hardcore! A couple of other recommendations (I have a similar history of eating too much processed crap and not enough whole foods): try a veggie delivery service-you can set up service for every week or every other week and that way you are forced to try new things and it takes no effort on your part (fresh, organic veggies and fruits delivered to your door). And, another great service is Naturebox. They send out a box of several healthy snacks every month ranging from granola to dried fruit and other tasty, healthy treats.

hi, I know where you are coming from, I am only 5'2" and weigh 160 lbs. And I like to eat too. I have a hard time controlling my portion sizes. There are seated workouts that you can do under the fitness tab. Thats how I started, and I lost 5 pounds. I am working on portion control this month as I got everything else going well. Read alot of motivational articles and really listen to there messages. Before you eat, read the nutrional pages, they seem to help alot. Now to follow my own advice....sigh. Brightest Blessings.

How is it that I basically spend all day everyday worrying about my weight and health yet the scale keeps creeping upwards and I keep putting crap food in my mouth? I'm not sure but I know I need to change. I'm 26, female, 5'2" and 180lbs. I have high cholesterol as well. I eat too many processed foods and not enough fresh whole foods. But I plan on changing that today! I also don't exercise as much as I should. I used to run often but for the past 6-8 weeks I stopped secondary to some foot pain. I plan on starting to run again in another 4 weeks after my foot is better but I need to start doing some other form of exercise as well. I don;t belong to a gym so any tips/recommendations for workout videos would be helpful for cardio/strength training. I own jillian michaels 30 day shred but I can probably only handle listening to her twice a week so I would like to add 1-2 dvd's to my collection. Also, any weight loss tips or advice would be helpful too!
