Hi Chubbabug. Glad to see the doctors finally listened to you. I had a heart attack in May and had 4 stents put in. Since then I have quit smoking and gotten more active. We can do this together!

Goals: Journal everyday
Make wise choices
Do some exercise
Wow..that is something that the doctors did not listen to you. I listened to my body last September when I had pain in the tops of both arms, pressure in my chest, pain in my neck and then it felt like someone put a vice around my jaw. I ended up looking up those symptoms on the internet and saw what it was, I had my DH take me to the ER. I had 2 stents put in then...and then in June of this year, it started feeling the same and I ended up getting another stent put right above one of the first ones. I know my body and when anything does not feel right, I get to the doctor and have her check it out. I have not ever had a heart attack either; although in June after that stent insertion, I had a mini stroke.
Keep watching your diet and exercise..exercise...exercise!!!
If we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers make, and all the people those...prayers were destined to affect...we would be so paralyzed with awe...that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives.

Hello and welcome
All things are possible if you only believe, even losing 15 pounds
HeLLo I'm not new to Sparkpeople but I am New to this Team.
I have Heart Disease & in 2005 2 Stents were placed & one area is still blocked, doctor left it alone because it bypassed itself. I never had a heart attack, I stayed persistant on visiting the doctors because the pressure in my chest was getting stronger, they kept telling me it was the mourning process because I lost my Mother that same year.
4 different doctors & 9 months after Mother passed 1 doctor didn't think it was mourning...Bless him or I would not be here today.
My A1c was 13 then but now it's 6.6...
We need to listen to what our bodies say no matter what...
Was wondering how many stents others have & what changes did you make after?
I'm Not Where I Need to Be...BUT...Thank God I'm NOT Where I Used to Be!
