Hello, and welcome. I too am more afraid of heart problems than I am of cancer. I'm sure this team will help and support you in what you need.
If we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers make, and all the people those...prayers were destined to affect...we would be so paralyzed with awe...that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives.

My family history also got my attention. Dad died at age 61, one brother had a multiple bypass before age 60, another had a couple of heart attacks also before 60. One passed from cancer (it was environmental than genetic) at age 56. All three older brothers and Dad smoked like chimneys. I do not have that problem. Maybe I will be more like Mom who also never smoked. She had a stroke at age 90 but is still fighting. Age will catch up eventually, right?

My name is Rebecca. I chose to add this spark team when I signed up because I have a huge history of heart disease on both sides of the family. Cancer doesn't scare me, but heart and stroke does. It hit home even harder this spring when my father, who had a recent good report from his cardiologist dropped dead with a massive heart attack.
Family history is something I can't change. Anything else is fair game.
