Hi
Diabetes is not a good thing to deal with but Spark People have given me much support and lots of help.
I use the trackers every day and my A1C has been perfect (according to my doctor) on the last two checkups I've had.
I find the 10 minute exercise videos help me get the workouts I need with just 10 minutes of my attention at one time. some videos are only 6 - 7 minutes long.

I hope you will keep posting to let us know how you are doing.
There is so much info on this site that it takes a long time to explore it but a new discovery each day gives one a little boost each day.

Wishing you the very best on the long rough road. Take out the lonely because Spark People will help with that.

Best wishes emoticon

At the end of the day, be able to look back and say "I did my best today."

I'm not diabetic but hubby is and other members of my family are, so I know what you're going thru. You'll get to where you need to be. Just take it one day at a time.

I agree. The road is long and rough but it doesnt have to be lonely. You will develop real and tangeble friendships here on SP and especially on this great team. I am the first in my family to have T2 since both of my grandmothers had it. I have one son who is T2 but is ignoring his problem and not taking care of himself.

Dawn, please be proactive in seeking suggestions, help and support here. You will receive all you ask for.

Keep the faith, my friend.

Hi! My name is Dawn. I am a 38 yr, old, 240 lb. wife, & mother of 3, a type 2 diabetic, & pretty much alone in this journey. I'm hopeing 2 meet other people who can understand what it's like 2 be doing this as the only diabetic in the family. It is not easy buying & preparing meals for people who don't have diabetes, when you do. It also isn't cheap, but I am working on it! That is my favorite thing to say. I'm working on it! That is why I am here. Hope to hear from you. Luv n hugs to you all!
