Me, too. I have been on and off sparkpeople for a while, and was kind of sort of getting back into shape (only not really) when something (don't ask me to tell you; i have no real idea) happened and suddenly everything is frightening, my resting heartrate is over my maximum heart rate, my doctor puts me on bedrest and now that I am about to be taken off of it, I'm scared.
So I am putting all my faith (regarding what *I* have to do) in Sparkpeople, and will be basically letting Sparkpeople tell me what to eat. Exercise, I am going to have to sneak up on a little bit, but if anyone has any kind of words of encouragement, I am now all the way focused on ME, and I am prepared to be more than a little bit selfish about it right now.
I love my significant other, I love my daughter, I enjoy my job and my friends. I, simply put, love me more. So, I'm going first, now, for the first time since I learned that this wasn't what "nice" girls do.
My first day here. I've decided to try something different. I've struggled with my weight since I was a teenager and now, just a few years short of 50, I've hit the highest weight ever. I have got to turn it around. I'll be looking to the people here to hopefully get some motivation and inspiration. Lord knows I need it...
