You are right, Monica. We all had to start somewhere as well. You have made that start and congratulations. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and I am confident that you are truly a good person.
SP works but it is not a guarantee. You will get more out of it than you put into it. Put nothing in, most likely, no benefit out.
This team offers incredible support and help - if you ask.

"It is easier to raise good children than to fix bad men" by Fredrick Douglas.
My name is Monica! I'm 21 years old and I am studying youth ministry at Ohio Christian University. This past school year, I got crazy stressed out and couldn't stop gaining weight. I am now at my highest weight ever (287) which is a 40 lb gain since last summer. I also started developing some heart issues -- occasional palpitations and consistent chest pains which became incredibly annoying as a busy college student. I was also having panic attacks because of the stress and the fear that came with the heart palpitations. It was an all around rough two semesters. When I realized that a lot of my issues weren't just because of stress, but also because of my weight gain, I decided it was time to get involved with SparkPeople actively. I am just ready to make a change in my life! I need to be healthy so that I can marry my amazing boyfriend one day and be an actively involved youth pastor who can play sports with the teens and have NERF gun wars. That's the vision I have in mind that is keeping me motivated to move forward.
