Take it slow and steady. One new change at a time. We don't gain the weight overnight so it is difficult to lose it too rapidly. I agree with AMATTLIN - use the trackers - I found them to be the one best tool on this site. The positive encouragement also is a wonderful support. All the best as you strive to get healthy.

Pamela we are happy you found us to. I will tell you that my first step was tracking everything. I had to find out where I was going wrong and after a couple weeks of tracking I figured out it was my food choices. I also started working out for 30 mins on the treadmill and gradually worked up my endurance. Unfortunately when we excercise and change our eating habits we can not choose where the weight will come off but this has helped me. I am running a 5k next saturday and never thought that would be probable a year ago.

I will be 48 in july, married 30 years this july ,4 children, two grandchildren and i'm tired of coming home from working hard to eat then go to sleep. I want energy and to get back in shape. I'm 188 pounds 5'2" and i am tired of the belly i need help! Lol because i don't want to cry! The weight has begone to be too much for me! Any good ideas to work on this belly my grand daughter think im having a baby! Wow! Im so happy to have found this site! I want to live life and a healthy one.
