Hello! I just joined this site last night. I am looking to lose weight and provide a healthier lifestyle for my family. I've recently had my third baby, and I'm hoping to lose the weight a bit more quickly and get in better shape. I had some health issues with this one, so I'm trying to drop pounds to help with tendonitis & joint pain and eat better to help maintain a healthy blood pressure.
I'm a writer, birth doula, and Reiki Master who is currently slumming it in retail to pay the bills. We recently moved from Western North Carolina to Southeast Missouri in an attempt to realize our homesteading dreams. I didn't do too much with the gardening this year, since I was having some health problems (and it was unbearably hot this year!). But we do have a few goats and chickens, and I'm now hoping to start a late fall garden if possible. I home/unschool our girls, and I'm hoping to make our new fitness journey into a nice homeschool project that the whole family can enjoy.
I'm still figuring this site out, but I'd love to make any friends with similar interests or goals. Or who just need a friendly cheerleader! I look forward to getting to know everyone and contributing on the site. Hopefully it will help me keep with it!
