Thanks for all the welcome messages. I'm still trying to figure out how to move around this heart community. It will take me some time. How do I get messages other than those in response to my message? Also, how do I get my fitness and total points to show?

WOW....welcome everyone thats new...MRSWHITEWOLF...what a journey...I have had 3 open heart surgeries and a valve transplant....I'm 27....since I've been working out and eating healthy..my bp is the lowest its EVER been. My doctor SMILES when he sees me and discusses my health...its a great feeling and you can do it too!
I am new. I had heart attack and stent put in last July 31, 2010. I shortly thereafter had a bigger more massive heart attack, took out entire front part of my heart and never felt it. I just started to experience shortness of breath, saw cardiologist and dr. Cardiologist kept saying it was anxiety, doctor agreed. Well, stress test done 5 months after stent, and well, my heart was damaged and gone. I was ruled out of open heart surgery but felt it was worth given a try. I am now recovering from open heart surgery triple bypass, completed 16 sessions of rehab, then 2 more to go. They are putting me in for another 18 sessions of rehab which I welcome. Eating healthy along with exercise is so very important.

Good for you for joining the team! I'm right behind you with the stents...I have 2 in the Widowmaker...they were inserted 6 years ago after I had a huge heart attack...It wasn't until I got into shape that the tightness in my chest went away when I walked briskly...but I'm NEVER without my nitro...All the best to u on your rehab journey and your Spark experience!

Just found this team and decided to join. About a month ago I failed my stress test and ended up having three stents placed in my "widowmaker" artery. This was very surprising to me because three years ago I had an angiogram and my arteries were fine. Think all the political stress got to my arteries! I am trying to ignore as much as possible while I try to regain my health.
My recovery has been much slower than I wish but started cardiac rehab yesterday. I'm sure my energy will soon be back and my shortness of breath will disappear.
I'm looking forward to learning ways to help me get a healthy heart!
