I joined last month but am just now getting around to looking around. I'm 45 with 2 kids. I've had aorticstenosis and bicuspid valve my whole life but 2 years ago I was diagnosed with an enlarged aorta. Where before I was on no meds and had no restrictions, I know have a whole slew of them. We are stationed in Italy so I see Navy docs. They take good care of me and try not to send me to the cardiologist out in town very often. Right now, I just take Atenolol to control my heart rate so I can exercise. I have always had low bp and a low heart rate, now it's even lower. I'm also on aspirin, zocor and mobic. When I remember I take a multivitamin and vit d. I've been struggling with my weight for some time but have lost 10 lbs this past year. The doctor wants me to lose 50 more lbs but said if I lose 10 she will think about lowering my dose of zocor:) I have my good days and bad but am taking it one day at a time.
Have a great day! Renee
