I want to take a moment to say hi! I just joined Healthy Hearts today, but have been a member of SP for a little while (but have been out of the circuit). I recently was hired at American Heart (leaving the military contractor environment) and want to make a difference in helping to build longer and stronger lives at AHA. I too suffered a heart attack almost 4 years ago (the day after a kidney transplant). Three months later (after giving my new kidney time to adjust to its new environment!), I had a triple bypass. Since I've worked here at AHA (3 months now), I know alot of statistics I want to see changed. Heart disease is the #1 killer of everyone, including women, and the #3 killer is stroke. We have got to change these stats and fast. Although I work in the DC area for AHA, anyone wishing some information about warnings signs and such, please email me and I will post that information out here. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of this team and I look forward to getting to know you.
