I am doing the Paleo diet which is gluten and dairy free. I do eat a lot of lean meats and eggs though. Sadly, I rarely follow my diet when on vacation (which is probably a big problem since I take so many trips a year). I have lost over 90 pounds in the past year and half which is great because I am finally losing weight slowly and keeping it off. Good luck and don't get discouraged if you don't lose weight quickly. I believe slow and steady wins the race.
I have only recently become an active SP member, so I thought I'd join a group that's all about something I love - traveling!
For the past couple of years, I've dealt with mysterious environmental and food allergies and intolerance. I'm on a gluten, dairy, and meat free diet, which sounds healthy, right? Yet, I managed to gain 20 lbs in the first 6 weeks of this diet!
Now I'm motivated to lose this weight so that I can have a great time in Prague and Poland and not feel embarrassed to have my picture taken while on vacation. I leave in 3 months, I'm not sure I'll lose 20 lbs by then, but I hope I'll be very close to that goal!
If anyone has been to Prague or Poland I'd love to hear about your experience, especially if have tips about healthy food choices while traveling.
