Gallup Park is an excellent place to walk. You can start on Fuller Rd (across from North Campus) and walk on a paved trail through Gallup Park and into Parker Mill park (which ends on Geddes) and then turn around for at least a 6 mile walk.
Another great place is Bandameer Park. Park in the parking lot closest to the highway overpass and walk on a paved trail along the river. (You can even hook up with the above Gallup Park walk). There are lots of park connections from Bandameer - some are wooded so I don't tend to walk those without a partner but they sure are beautiful.
Lastly, I think by the airport you are a little stuck for sidewalks but there are some neighborhoods that you could map a route around and further west there are some dirt roads that could be pretty but watch out for fast cars. Let us know what you tried!

Not near the airport, but County Farm Park (behind the Meri Lou Murray rec center) is a good place to walk--lot of people (but not crowded), three different loop distances and Par Core (sp?) stations for some extra challenge if you want.
I also know lots of people who walk at Gallup Park.

My favorite places are behind the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center off of Washtenaw, places like Matthaei Bottanical gardens, downtown or almost any park. It never hurts to just have someone to walk with.
Hi and welcome to the team! I live in Tecumseh, so I'm not totally familiar with the little niches of Ann Arbor. I know of just the main drag basically. However, I would be happy to meet halfway, maybe in Saline, if you or others want to start a walking group. Take care!
