Just take it one day at a time. Do a little bit and gradually add on to it. Don't try to go 'all out'.
Kids can be a great source of exercise, go for walks with your BF. Take the goodies out of the house and replace them with fruits & veggies. Stay away from the soda.

Hi I can' remember if I introduces myself in this group or not yet. so I am doing it now :)
I am a single mother of 4, Live up in the mountains with few gym options in a small town. I have little motivation due to the fact that I only have my kids and BF to encourage me. I have been a member on SP since 2008 I have started and stoped a million times...and I am still trying.I still want to reunite with my skinny self of pre-kids. :( I was a very small petite 5'1" 103lbs young woman.and I know at 38 I can't get back to that size and look healthy, but I would love to just get down to 145 at this point! if the weight keeps falling off after that...then fine but my goal is 145.

I am looking for accountability and motivation. I need follow through to the end of every day. I've had the same 20 (then 25) pounds to lose for years. Hello team! I'm Debbie and just found this team, obviously. I work with a bunch of gossiping, drama-loving, complaining downers so I need ALL the positive good vibes I can get. I started keeping to myself more this last month, not rude, just not taking part in their daily ripping someone apart behind their backs conversations. I'm single, have a dog and like to inspire as well as be inspired by good people. Looking forward to this team's activities. AND...love that the team is active! Hi Michele. Yes I did S90. I completed a cycle and then some last year. I still use some of the DVD workouts. It was a great series but it hurt my knees.

Hello to all!
I am new to spark, and I am fascinated and impressed with all there is to do on this website. I'm following the diabetic meal plan and exercising up a storm. This is very motivating, and I can't believe it's free. I started at 192 and in one week I am down to 186. My blood sugar has been falling also. I am diagnosed with pre-diabetes with fasting blood sugar ranging from 117-153. My question is....Does your blood sugar fall impressively with only one week of dieting and exercise? This morning hubby and I rode our bikes for 1hour, 15 minutes. I got incredibly sleepy about an hour after lunch. 3/4 c chili and 1/2 c brown rice. I took a short nap...which I am known for, and still have been tired all afternoon. I checked by blood sugar pre-dinner and it was 82. My blood sugar hasn't been that low in years. I ate supper....1/2 banana, 1 1/2 T peanut butter, 5 carrots, and tea and I am feeling better now. Any thoughts? I have a big problem with sleepiness:) Thank you new friends!

Hello, I’m Jessica and this is my 5th alter ego with Sparkpeople. I felt it was necessary because after losing 40 lbs earlier this year (Jan-Apr) with Spark, I fell off the wagon. I went from 216 to 224.8 where I started back up this week. Now my ultimate goal is to hit 160, but I want to eat better, lose the stress, and reduce the to-do’s on my to-do list of life. Which as a mother, volunteer, employee, business owner, wife, sister, etc…… (we all wear many hats), the list is never ending. I am looking for supportive friends, who won’t hesitate to kick my butt!

I've been brainlessly eating and sitting behind a screen scrambling with deadlines for almost 2 years. Happy Tuesday, all! I'm new to the team--and to SparkPeople--and hoping for great things!
I write fiction, bake quick breads (woohoo easy fruit and veggies!), QA and write manuals for software, and I'm a new first-time mom. Since my baby girl's now around 18 months, I realized with a lot of embarrassment over how much time has simply slipped past, "Oops. I can't use that as an excuse for not shedding the pounds and whipping my abs back into shape anymore, can I?"
Over the weekend I got a great head-start on my goals. But today is back to the forever-hours-a-week day job, as well as my fiction writing schedule, so my challenge will be to continue to meet my health and fitness goals while keeping everything else moving forward as well. I do best when I'm busy--I don't know why I seem to keep forgetting that.

Hello everyone, My name is Ilene. I have been a member of sp for a while and am leader of 2 groups. I am almost at my goal but seem to have a negative attitude that has messed me up.. I am hoping I can find a way to get back into the groove. And hope that if anyone can help they will as I have helped others.

My name is Audrey and I'm 53. I joined this group with the hope that it will help me stay focused and not give in to the temptation to overeat. Currently, I am simply working on exercising more and NOT overeating. I want to practice eating only when I'm actually hungry
Right now I'm really busy so I apologize for not particitpating more but as soon as my novella is complete - in about 3 weeks, I will have more time to focus on this. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi everyone from Ohio here! My name is Melissa and I am a 41 year old mom of three ages 16, 20, and 22. I have been a member of SparkPeople for some time but have been inactive for a while. I have been on a serious weight loss journey for about 2 years and am down 143 lbs as of today! My goal is to keep it off as well as to lose body fat and build muscle mass. I love working out and spend at least 2.5 hours in the gym every day. I also am a full time grad student. I usually am a pretty positive person but am struggling a bit today because I saw a bunch of pretty boies in the gym that I know I will never look like! I will get over it and I think joining this team will help me to keep positive and keep moving forward!!

Hi team and thanks for the welcome! I am 57, have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren and a husband I've been married to 6 years this November. My husband has become very negative due to numerous health issues he has been dealing with the past couple years, so I have to try extra hard to make sure I have some positive influences to keep me from falling into his black hole. I saw this team and thought this may be just want I need to help balance my life! I hope that I can help to encourage others on the team as well.
