WElcome! You can do it! I've been here about 2 weeks and this is the best team to get support from!
What I found has helped me a lot is:
Logging what I eat (Be honest with yourself because if you omit anything your only lieing to yourself)
Log your exercise.
The thing I'm learning best is there are times you are going to slip up and eat something you aren't supposed to. It is going to happen and the best is to not beat yourself up over it. Just think tomorrow is another day and that is the day I'm going to stay on track!
Also remember that weight loss is not a sprint it is a marathon. It took however long to get it on and it's not going to come off over night. It takes time and LOTS of patience!
Good luck with your goals! If you want to talk or need support.. You have plenty of it it here!!!
WELCOME DONE GIRL!! This team is here for you & will help you in any way possible! 1) log in every day 2) track your food & exercise 3) read the articles 4) give support to others thru thread topics & get some yourself by starting a thread with a question/plea for prayers, help, ideas. 5) reach your goal slowly but surely & if you fall off the healthy eating/exercise wagon just let us know & we will circle back & pick you up!!
With God's help I will try to bark less and wag more! Stick a fork in me... I'm DONE! Leader on the Done Being the Fat Girl team - the best team around!! I'd rather WEAR whatever I want than EAT whatever I want!! Ya Ya Sisterhood name: Queen Preening Peacock

Hi :D Welcome back. The main thing for me is to not beat myself up. When I have done something I would normally yell at my self for (like eating bad stuff) I have to let it go. I noticed if I don't let it go I only continue to eat... where as if I stay positive and stay with my goals I will likely jump back on track asap!
Don't Give Up!

Well, I was on here about a year ago and never really stuck to getting to know anybody to get the support that is dreadfully needed to keep up motivation when trying to lose weight. I stumbled across the site again yesterday and decided "Why not?" I've tried everything and am only getting "worse" as I liked to call it. The muffin top drives me up a wall and my clothes don't fit, stomach always hurting and constantly having to unbutton my pants at work (I have to wear LONG shirts on those days) and it gets humiliating.
My husband tries to be supportive but I kinda won't let him. I guess when he tries to support and push me the way I need to be pushed I feel like he isn't attracted to the person he married. Thats when I hit bottom and gain about 5 more pounds onto the weight I've been carrying for years.
So after trying Slim Fast, NutraSystem, Atkins, and whatever I am ready to make a LIFE STYLE change and try not to focus on the numbers and focus my hardest on feeling better and looking good TO MYSELF.
So After reading this LONG post *LOL* I am looking for some ideas from those of you who have reached your goals, are on the path of reaching your goals and those of you who are starting out just like I am. Food wise and workout wise. I guess you can just use this spot as a testimonial and idea chamber. Thanks for your time and support. Everyone on Spark is so AWESOME and kind. Keep up the good work everyone. God Bless
