Yes they are! THe nice thing about getting it there is I was able to add their 2 year plan to it for only $15. So if I drop it or break it or anythign outside of the warranty they replace it, no questions asked.

After waiting all this time I gave up on the constant back order dates for the FitBit on Amazon. I foudn they had it at my local Best Buy so I went there and they did happen to be out but they are holding one from the truck they'll receive Friday. Once I get it I plan on setting somethign up to do this walk finally!

Thanks for the info! I bought a cheapy pedometer at walmart, but it doesn't work that well. I am not confident in it's accuracy, lol. I am going to look into this.

I was looking over an article written by Coach Nicole and one of the things she talked about was FitBits. It's like a pedometer but it measures so much more. I looked it up on Amazon and the reviews were fantastic. I noticed a new one is coming out at the end of the month so I preordered it. It would help you track steps, calories burned, etc. Might be something that you'd like especially for this challenge!

I haven't set a deadline, right now I am trying to see realistically how many miles a week I can fit into my schedule. :) I think I am going to doing 2 miles a day, 5 days a week. At that rate it will take almost 3 years to get done, lol. As time goes on and I am able to cover ground more rapidly, then I will be able to cut some of that time off.

Figured I'd just walk along the 5 freeway, lol. Might be quicker than the actual traffic through LA. Total mileage is 1390. Starting Monday morning, unless I get a chance to sneak in a walk tomorrow. :) It is going to take a long time to do this, but I am really excited! emoticon
