I'm two miles past Mamonovo and well on my way to Odentsovo--only one mile to get there!
15 miles completed.
"The village of Odintsovo was formed in the late 14th century. The famous story among the Odintsovians is about the noble named Andrey Odinets.(Odinets is a nickname he had, real name Andrey Ivanovitch Domotkanov, rus. Андрей Иванович Домотканов) For the great service to the Moscovian leader of the time, Dmitry Donskoy, Odinets was granted land to the south west of Moscow."
Update: I've put in some good miles of late. I am just one mile outside of Trekhgorka, Russia and then move on to Mamonovo, Odentsovo, and Lesney Gorodok.
I might have some obstacles in my path: I'm going in for a root canal and I don't know what Trekhgorka dentistry is like!
Google earth and Google maps and Trip Advisor have really helped me to learn a lot about the places I visit.
I've advanced just over 12 miles since I started which is good for this old lady who has to work in the midst of my journey! I know it's been 9 days so I average only a bit over a mile a day. However, I have had extra mileage from my trip around Red Square and into Gorky Park.
