I don't know if this helps you or not but when I found this team recently, I was looking for a team that would be fun and help keep me accountable. By having a walking destination, I was able to reach goals and exceed them by far. I wanted to be sure to walk each day so that I had something to post. I chose the short version of the walk and found that I really underestimated myself. I am looking forward to October challenges as well.

I find it motivating and hope that you will, too. There's nothing like reading everybody else's mileage posts to get you moving! A little healthy competitive spirit is good for us, after all, don't you think? I'll look forward to walking with you in October!
Tammy, there are a group of us who "walk together" every month. Each month we have a different virtual destination, starting from different places depending on how many miles we want to walk over the course of the month. In September our destination has been the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. If you look under the challenge walks forum you will find our thread for this month, as well as past ones, and you can see how people do this. We always welcome new participants! I know that for me it really makes me feel as though I'm involved in a team activity, which is hard to do when you live far apart.
Well I'm looking for an active team and hoping I may have found it. The last time I was trying to get fit I was walking like a mad woman. So I want to go back to that crazy woman and make it apart of my every day life once again.
