am still walking..sort of..now doing steps..hate them..was at one step..then one day they had me at two steps..halfway through class I put myself back at one step...hey! I'm an 'old' person..all the others are quite young...so..I'm going at my pace.. and it's a workout..I do need to start wearing a pedometer..so I know how many steps/miles I'm going in an hour of stepping!
two miles closer to Iowa and just rec'd their theatre info for this summer.. hmm, tempting..love live theatre..may have to up the miles..did one on a treadmill on a #4 incline..and one via a walking dvd..
still too icy to walk outside..well, either slush or ice underneath.. even wearing yakjax it's not fun..
okay...I switched from walking for awhile to bootcamp..not sure how the miles add up with that! it is a nonstop hour of moving..sliding, biking, jumping..so I'm figuring at least a mile ..at least per session...AND now I'm done with bootcamp for awhile and back to what I call regular exercising..bootcamp was to jump start me and my metabolism..and though I was sure it was meant to kill me.. I survived and endured and made it through the entire three weeks! I am amazed.. so...on my way to Iowa at..185 miles left... out of 235... kind of slow going..but am still going!
No one is getting anywhere as of late; we've had fog, rain that freezes on everything it touches, and three events I was to attend today/tomorrow have already been cancelled. Walking to the curb to put out the garbage was slow going this a.m.; so again, I'm slowly walking via dvd's..the leslie sansone way; her gospel walking didn't have the type of hymn music I was expecting; it was more of Christian jazz type music in the background, which is needed for power walking, but it's a nice way to walk two miles.
It's slow going, a mile one day, three another, but then my sister just called to tell of the terrible ice they have down there in Iowa, and yes, the rain/sleet/ice is heading out way now, so I'm content to walk inside...a slow walk to Iowa. By the time I get there it will be spring and I may head over to Pella for the tulip festival! just rec'd a new Sansone walking dvd..a closer walk with thee...walking to old hymns! I can't wait to put that one on.
well, they say to start out with do-able goals, so much as I'd love to head to Phoenix, I'll first head to Amana, IA. They have great food there, but I'm aiming for the Creamery, their wonderful theatre! it's a mere 235 miles from home.. did 1.5 miles today before the treadmill 'died'; it's old and I doubt anyone will come fix it. I'll find out Monday. Otherwise, the walking videos will get me there..
