It's addictive, just tie your laces and go!!!
Values are like fingerprints. Nobody's are the same, but you leave'em all over everything you do.
Where to start?
Some good suggestions here - walk during your lunch break, but don't forget to also eat a healthy lunch!
Get up 10 minutes earlier and walk around the block.
Park as far away as possible while shopping.
Set aside 10 or 15 minutes a day for a walk. Maybe you could find something you think you shouldn't be doing - like for me, snacking in front of the TV - and walk instead.

I got started wearing my pedometer and now I can't stop!
Leslie Sansone has a wonderful series of "Walking Away the Pounds" workouts that vary in length from 15 minutes to an hour. And, there are many "step" teams here on SparkPeople too...great places to get a good start.
Feel free to visit some of the teams I am a part of. We're always welcoming new member and you're sure to get new and fresh ideas, support and encouragement.
Best wishes as you squeeze those extra steps in!
Hello and welcome to the team.
My goals for the swim suit weight challenge are:
1, Lose 4 lbs.
2, Go down a dress size
3. See how many inches I have lost.

Hello from South Africa.
Walking is very much a part of our lives here. But I once read an article that made walking easy initially. It said, park in a further away parking when shopping, take the stairs instead the elevator etc. Those are all beginnings which will lead you to wanting more and then indulging in more. Energy begets energy as does time beget time.
Hope you manage.
I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.
Welcome to the team from southern Illinois!!!
I walk instead of eating lunch and sometimes I walk for 45 minutes before I get ready for work. At break times I walk around the building.
Do you have a pedometer and know how much you walk normally?

You know, we THINK we don't have time to do things for ourselves, such as exercising....but the truth is, time IS available, we just have to MAKE it work for us, and stick to it, for ourselves!
Take the first step!!!!
