I go to my dad's for dinner once a week and he and I go away together every February to somewhere warm as well. And, in August, we're planning a weekend away to the southernmost part of Canada, Pelee Island.
I have 4 sisters and I usually talk to at least one of them every week and if we're not actually talking, we text or email. Interestingly, the sister I talk to the most lives the furthest away in Montreal.
Next week, I'm spending a day with my second sister at her cottage on Lake Huron. I also have to go and see my 4th sister sometime this weekend to drop off a box for her to take to Montreal to visit my 3rd sister.
And, it's my 5th sister's daughter's 14th birthday today so I'll probably see or talk to her today as well.

I talk to my mother every couple of days. I take her to appointments for hours at least a couple of times a week. My brother calls her every day.
I email more often than talk with my sister and brother, mostly because it involves info about plans or about my mother. We talk maybe once a week. I always feel remiss that we don't talk more often, but I'm doing all I can get done each day.
I speak with my parents on average about once a week. We are all busy with our own lives and interests. We usually get together at least once a month. As for my brother, no contact except through reports from my parents occasionally.
I talk to my dad every day...usually by EMail but often also by phone. It is difficult for my mom to talk on the phone and she is not computer literate...I call her sometimes but the conversations are short. My brother is 3 years younger than me and lives in TN. He is not speaking to me. Haven't heard from him for close to 25 years.
I talk to my mother every day. I have 2 brothers. One I'm close with the other not so much. I talk to the one at least once a week the other 3 or 4 times a yr. I love my Mother dearly. She is a great blessing.
If it is to be, it is up to me.
So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we have the key.
