My husband and I often leave the house and go see a scary movie. Just one of our Halloween traditions. This year we will be giving out his childhood memory candy, the one his dad always gave out... Goldberg's Peanut Chews. He wants to get the neighborhood children addicted to them too. I've been better this year about candy as most of it has gluten/wheat in it. Unfortunately the Peanut Chews are gluten free so I've had a couple a day. I need to get it out of the pathway.
This year we spent Friday night at Disneyland for their Halloween party. We always get a huge haul of sugary treats. We have a huge popcorn bowl full of assorted candies... of which I've had 3. So I'm not doing great at the not indulging... but it's much better than in year's past where I ate the entire bag and had to buy a new one for the kids. LOL!

we live in a gated community and if you want to treat the little buggers you sign up at the office in advance. The tricker treaters get a map of the homes where they are welcome. Because I go to bed at a very early hour and because of reasons of faith I do not celebrate the holiday. My church holds a free Harvest Festival that is quite a big draw in our neighborhood. Hay rides, bouncy bubble, dunking for apples, hot dogs... pumpkin painting, hay rides, face painting....it seems like a real blast. Ive never been able to attend due to transportation issues.but I hear good reports. It's also free ...
in the past we've done whatever candy I wanted to eat. LOL
this year we're doing juice boxes, I think (heading to the store soon). My mom suggested that-- said the kids in her neighborhood always seem excited to get them and they don't tempt her like candy does.
